KAT Foundation grows its mission by building strong partnerships, expanding community programs, and creating more opportunities for people to give, serve, sponsor, and support meaningful change.

In 2010, KAT Foundation was founded through the visionary leadership of the late Dr. Kwame Amoako Tuffuor, whose life and work reflected a deep commitment to service, compassion, and community upliftment. He believed that meaningful change begins with helping people feel seen, supported, and valued. Through his dedication to others, he laid the foundation for an organization committed to restoring dignity, expanding opportunity, and responding to the needs of underserved communities. His vision continues to inspire the Foundation’s work in education, food support, health awareness, community development, and charitable outreach.
Today, KAT Foundation carries forward Dr. Kwame Amoako-Tuffuor’s legacy under the leadership of his daughter, who is committed to preserving the values he instilled while guiding the Foundation into a new chapter of growth and impact. This transition represents both continuity and renewal, honoring the heart of the original mission while expanding programs to meet current community needs. The principles of kindness, advocacy, stewardship, and transformation remain central to everything KAT Foundation does. Through every project, donation, partnership, and outreach effort, the Foundation continues to honor his legacy by turning compassion into action and hope into lasting change.

Dr. Kwame Amoako Tuffuor (1942 - 2021) was a pioneer and humanitarian whose vision laid the foundation for the KAT organization. His commitment to making a positive impact on the world sparked the creation of the KAT Foundation, reflecting his values of kindness, advocacy, and the belief in transformative change.

A substitute for the founder of the foundation, Mrs. Lilian Tuffuor-Kodua continues her father's legacy, carrying forward the torch of compassion and community service.
