End-of-Year School Supply Drive – Donate Supplies to Support Students in Ghana
Turn Unused School Supplies Into Opportunity. KAT Foundation’s End-of-Year School Supply Collection Initiative transforms unused and gently used school supplies into learning opportunities for underserved students in Ghana.
Bridging the Gap in Education
Every year, schools end the academic year with unused and gently used supplies—items that may be discarded, left behind, or taken home but never used again.

What This Project Solves
At the same time, many students in underserved communities in Ghana attend school without basic tools such as pencils, notebooks, art supplies, and organizational materials.
Through this project, KAT Foundation partners with schools to collect unused supplies and deliver them to students who need them most—turning potential waste into meaningful educational impact.

How the School Supply Drive Works
Our project uses a structured, repeatable process to move supplies from collection to delivery.
Partner With Schools
Schools agree to host end-of-year supply collections and identify a contact person.
Ship to Ghana
Supplies are transported in 55-gallon blue industrial plastic drums.
Collect Supplies
Students and families donate unused or gently used items that would otherwise be discarded or unused.
Deliver Impact
Supplies are distributed to underserved schools and students in Ghana.
Sort & Package
KAT Foundation inspects, organizes, and packs supplies into shipping drums.
Report Results
We share updates, photos, donor appreciation, and impact reporting after each cycle.
End-to-End Process Map
A clear operating flow for school partners, volunteers, donors, and project leaders.
Donate Money for School Supply Shipping
Collecting supplies is only the first step. We also need support to ship donations to Ghana.
$300
Sponsors One 55-Gallon Drum
Each 55-gallon blue industrial plastic drum costs approximately $300 to ship. KAT Foundation typically ships 4 to 5 drums per collection cycle, requiring approximately $1,200–$1,500 in shipping support.
